Yemen starts maritime naval blockade of Haifa port
Pars Today - Yemeni Armed Forces announced the start of a naval blockade of Haifa Port.
According to Pars Today, citing ISNA, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, announced in a statement on Monday the start of the naval blockade of Haifa Port. He said: This decision was made in response to the escalation of tension and brutal attacks by the Israeli enemy and the continuation of the blockade and starvation of the Palestinian people. In this statement, the Yemeni Armed Forces warned that Haifa Port has officially entered the Yemeni military target list since the issuance of this statement. Also, all companies whose ships are present in Haifa Port or are heading towards it have been asked to take the measures and warnings which have been announced seriously. The statement concludes by stating that all measures and decisions related to the Zionist regime will be stopped if the aggression against Gaza is completely stopped and the blockade of this region is lifted.
Siege of Haifa Port; A unique military initiative
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) announced in a statement: We appreciate Yemen’s decision to impose a naval blockade on the port of Haifa as a response to the escalation of the Zionist regime’s brutal aggression against the people of the Gaza Strip. The movement added: The naval blockade on the port of Haifa in the occupied territories is a unique action and an important turning point that will mark a new stage in Yemen’s resistance actions against the Zionist regime.
Increase in the number of people martyred in Gaza
In continuation of the regime’s crimes against the Palestinian people, Palestinian medical sources announced on Tuesday that the extensive attacks of the Israeli army on various areas of the Gaza Strip since Monday have resulted in the martyrdom of at least 126 Palestinians. According to the announcement of the Gaza Ministry of Health, including this figure, the number of martyrs in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023 has reached 53,486 individuals and the number of those injured has reached 151,398.
Israeli soldier killed in clash with Palestinian resistance
On the other hand, the Israeli army announced that one of its soldiers from the 601st Engineering Unit was killed in clashes with Palestinian resistance in the northern Gaza Strip. Israeli security sources also reported a security incident in the Gaza Strip on Monday. According to these sources, two Israeli army rescue helicopters landed at Soroka Hospital in the city of Beersheba, carrying wounded Israeli soldiers from the Gaza front. According to Israeli media reports, at least one Israeli soldier was killed in the incident. The Israeli network Hadshot Leo Tsnezura also claimed that one of the Israeli army soldiers lost his life as a result of an accidental shot by his own forces.
Complete power outage at Indonesian hospital in Gaza
The Gaza Health Ministry also announced a complete power outage at the Indonesian hospital and stated: The occupation forces’ direct attack on power generators has brought the medical centers to the brink of complete collapse. The Health ministry warned that the destruction of power generators in hospitals means the paralysis of the backbone of medical services and the complete cessation of vital hospital activities throughout the Gaza Strip.
Israeli drone attacks on Lebanon
Meanwhile, on Monday, the Zionist regime carried out several drone attacks on Lebanon in violation of the ceasefire agreement. In the latest ceasefire violation, a Lebanese citizen was martyred by an Israeli drone attack in front of his house in the town of "Hola" in southern Lebanon. Also, a Lebanese citizen was wounded in the shoulder by Israeli soldiers in the town of "Kafrakala" and was sent to Marjayoun Hospital for treatment. Lebanese sources announced that an Israeli drone dropped a bomb on a car in the town of Al-Dhahirah in southern Lebanon, damaging it. Two people were also injured when an Israeli drone attacked a motorcycle in the Wadi Al-Ayoun area in the suburb of Sarbin in Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon.
